Every other year, Steamatic franchisees gather for the international franchise summit, which we held last year. On the years in between, we host the education summit. “There’s quite a bit of additional training, breakout sessions, and even speakers from the major third party administrators from across the country.”

Franchisees spend about five days in classroom instruction and doing hands-on training to get their Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification in water and fire damage restoration. These certifications notify insurance companies that franchisees know the proper way to get a cleaning and restoration job done.

“Through on-site training in Fort Worth, franchisees learn how to run their businesses, how to operate the equipment, best practices for using that equipment, and so on,” Bill says. “And because they’re coming in well-prepared, we can maximize their classroom time.”
