Meet the Management Team
We have years of industry experience to share with our franchisees
Bill Sims, Chairman
Bill began at Steamatic in 1983 working in the sales department. He gained industry experience throughout the years and worked his way up to Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Franchise Development. He formed relationships nationally and internationally, and when the sons of the founders of Steamatic were looking for someone in 2006 to take over the reins, they knew Bill would be a good fit. Bill purchased Steamatic Inc. and moved the company to its current location.
A graduate of Texas Christian University, Bill is involved in the Fort Worth community — serving on boards and organizations. He has watched over the years how the company has shifted from cleaning services to restoration services. He feels good about the reputation the company has gained throughout the years because of its ability to form trusted relationships with insurance companies, businesses, and residents.
He is proud of the corporate team and how they are dedicated to helping the company’s franchisees succeed in the industry. Bill believes the future for Steamatic is unlimited as they continue to grow their relationships with national accounts and insurance companies.
Steve Willis, President
In 1993, Steve answered a newspaper ad for a job as a residential carpet cleaning sales representative at Steamatic. He worked his way up in the company to a commercial sales representative, commercial sales manager, a sales manager to general manager before leaving in 2001. He then worked for an environmental company in Texas that focused on mold remediation and another remediation company where he managed operations that spanned 14 states. He built up national remediation accounts and learned the ins and outs of the cleaning and restoration industry.
Steve has been involved with restoration jobs for various catastrophes from the 1994 Northridge, California, earthquake, tornados in the Midwest, the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing to 2005’s Hurricane Katrina. A parking sign from New Orleans hangs in his corporate office. He received it from the New Orleans mayor for helping with restoration efforts during Hurricane Katrina. In 2011, Bill Sims recruited him back to Steamatic to help open the corporate franchise in Fort Worth, Texas. He became Executive Vice President in 2012, and in October 2014 he took over as President.
A noted trainer and continuing education provider, he has presented on industry-related topics for various clients and industry organizations such as IFMA, BOMA, ASHRAE, IAQA, and NADCA. He has served on committees for several national associations, written articles on disaster recovery and indoor air quality and earned multiple licenses and certifications from several associations. He has received training from FEMA and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and holds three master-level certifications from the IICRC. Steve is also recognized as a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) by the International Franchise Association.
Steve’s goal is to make Steamatic the most efficient, cutting-edge, technological company in the cleaning and restoration industry. To do this he is focusing efforts on giving franchisees the right tools — from computer software to cameras — that allow them to give insurance companies, businesses and residents real-time data quickly and efficiently. His other main initiative for Steamatic is to grow the number of franchisees 30% to 40% in the next five years.
